A Texas man accused of using social media to distribute obscene materials has been taken into custody.
A search warrant was served on the man’s home on Tuesday, authorities said.
He was charged with possessing child pornography, which is a felony, and distributing obscene materials, a Class B misdemeanor.
He will appear in court Wednesday.
The suspect was being held at the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, according to KTRK.
The investigation is ongoing, according a DPS spokesman.
In March, a man from Houston, Texas, was arrested after he allegedly posted images of himself naked and holding a gun in a bathroom of a motel, police said.
Police said the suspect made the images available to people on social networking sites, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
